ANOTHER STAR FOR CZECH MASTERS, SPANISH BELLO WILL BE ON ALBATROSS

The D+D REAL Czech Masters  announces another star. Four-time DP World Tour champion Rafael Cabrera Bello, a Spanish professional, will also arrive at Albatross Golf Resort near Prague next week.

It will be the 38-year-old Spaniard’s first start at the tournament, which is now in its eighth year. Bello has concentrated on the overseas PGA Tour in recent years, but his season ended last week when he finished tied 78th at the Wyndham Championship.

This year he started to add more starts on the DP World Tour, where he, among others, notched a tied 2nd place at January’s Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship. His last title on the circuit so far was last October at the home Acciona Open de España, where he beat his last opponent, compatriot Adri Arnaus, in a play-off.

Bello is currently ranked 180th in the world rankings and 29th in the DP World Tour rankings. He has two top-10 finishes at big four tournaments, having finished a best tied fourth at The Open in 2017.

He also notched two wins on the Challenge Tour in 2006 and 2008, and nearly added a third in the Czech Republic at Ypsilonka! At the Ypsilon Golf Challenge by Alex Cejka in 2008 he finished tied 2nd, losing to Seve Benson in a playoff that also included Branden Grace.

The eighth year of the D+D REAL Czech Masters will take place from the 18th to the 21st at Albatross Golf Resort near Prague. Other stars of the biggest golf tournament in the Czech Republic are Englishman Ian Poulter and two-time tournament champion Thomas Pieters. The complete Czech top players will also be present.
