Record holder Niclas Fasth returns to Czech Republic

The Swede Niclas Fasth will return to play his sixth tournament of the European Tour on the territory of the Czech Republic which makes him an absolute record holder among all those enrolled for Czech Masters. He took part in the Chemapol Trophy in Marianske Lazne in 1994. One should also remember his best result from the 1997 tournament on Karlstejn where he finished second after Bernhard Langer. Later he played on the Celadna golf course too.  The Albatross golf course is already the fourth Czech resort Fasth will get a proper close-up of.  He is 41 years old but can, after winning six titles, easily be considered to be one of the legends of the European Tour. He finished second on the British Open in 2001. A year later he made it into the Rydercup team which beat the US in England. In the twenty years of his active golf career he has earned more than 10 million Euro. These numbers make him one of the richest active players of the European Tour which enables him to rank among players who can be granted an exemption and participate in a tournament without an official tour card.

There is another multimillionaire coming to participate in the tournament – Richard Green; a three-time winner of the tournament who, in the last few years, has mostly been favoring tournaments in his native land, Australia. In 2004 he dominated the whole season there after winning the Australian Masters – one of the local Majors.  Apart from golf, of course, he is known for his passion for fast cars. He owns a racing Porsche which he dazzled with during the Australian Grand Prix last year.
